| • Reporting of a trade dispute by a trade union, employer or authorised representative to the Minister for Labour • Appointment of a conciliator or committee of conciliators by the Minister for Labour • Appointment of the Board of inquiry by the Minister. • Reference of a dispute to the Industrial Court by the Minister on a certificate of urgency • Reference of the dispute to an accepted arbitrator if provided for in the parties collective agreement |
| When is an employee entitled for Severance pay? |
An employee is entitled for severance pay of not less than 15 days for each completed year of service upon being declared redundant. |
| What is a Committee of Inquiry and its composition? |
| A committee, appointed by the Minister to inquire/investigate any matter, which is relevant or connected to a Trade Dispute. It shall comprise of three or more persons. The Secretary shall be a public officer. |
