Labour Relations Act 2007

What are the laid down procedures for dispute settlement?
• Reporting of a trade dispute by a trade union, employer or authorised representative to the Minister for Labour
• Appointment of a conciliator or committee of conciliators by the Minister for Labour
• Appointment of the Board of inquiry by the Minister.
• Reference of a dispute to the Industrial Court by the Minister on a certificate of urgency
• Reference of the dispute to an accepted arbitrator if provided for in the parties collective agreement

When is an employee entitled for Severance pay?

An employee is entitled for severance pay of not less than 15 days for each completed year of service upon being declared redundant.

What is a Committee of Inquiry and its composition?
A committee, appointed by the Minister to inquire/investigate any matter, which is relevant or connected to a Trade Dispute.  It shall  comprise of three or more persons.  The Secretary shall be a public officer.
